So what makes a song from this era important? I could argue that all songs are sublime compositions or that the videos are ground breaking, but it wouldn't be true. Closer to the truth would be: "because I think so".

Alphaville - Forever Young

Year: 1984



A little reluctantly I must admit that Forever Young by Alphaville had an impact on me during 1984. Listening to it now it seems a little pompously naive to its structure, but it obviously found its way to many young girls and boys hearts. Who said that Germans can't make hit music..
