So what makes a song from this era important? I could argue that all songs are sublime compositions or that the videos are ground breaking, but it wouldn't be true. Closer to the truth would be: "because I think so".

Japan - Visions of China

Year: 1981



I tried several times to sing along with David Sylvian whenever I heard Japan's hit Visions of China. It didn't sound that great I am afraid. No matter how much I practiced, I never became Sylvian-like.
