So what makes a song from this era important? I could argue that all songs are sublime compositions or that the videos are ground breaking, but it wouldn't be true. Closer to the truth would be: "because I think so".

Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)

Year: 1985



Raise your hand if you have never been tempted to dance when you hear this song... cross your heart and hope to die? No, I didn't think you would. It is almost as irresistable now as it was when it appeared in 1985. Apart from this song Dead or Alive did't make much of an impression on me...well, the hysterical hairdos is kind of impressive. Or scary. And what's with the eye patch on that guy? Because it is a guy, right?
