So what makes a song from this era important? I could argue that all songs are sublime compositions or that the videos are ground breaking, but it wouldn't be true. Closer to the truth would be: "because I think so".

Bow Wow Wow - I Want Candy

Year: 1982



There are several versions of this song (the original was made in 1965) but for me this one by Bow Wow Wow is my "original". The act was a successful breed between pop and punk and I just loved everything about it. Needless to say I was in love with the singer, Annabella, which was the case with just about every girl/woman between 14 and 25 I laid my eyes on when I was 16 myself. What can I say...hormones..
