So what makes a song from this era important? I could argue that all songs are sublime compositions or that the videos are ground breaking, but it wouldn't be true. Closer to the truth would be: "because I think so".

Madness - Our House

Year: 1982



Our House by Madness was indeed a different twist to the gloomy Ska sound that was advocated by for example the Specials. This was completely different! Energetic, happy and melodic and my friends and me responded by start a dance frenzy as soon as we heard the bass intro. It's about time you do the same!
