So what makes a song from this era important? I could argue that all songs are sublime compositions or that the videos are ground breaking, but it wouldn't be true. Closer to the truth would be: "because I think so".

Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Want to Have Fun

Cyndi Lauper has had many followers, like Wendy James from Transvision Vamp or more recent Pink, but Cyndi remains the original. She was never one of my absolute favourites, but always held a place on my mixed music casettes.
