So what makes a song from this era important? I could argue that all songs are sublime compositions or that the videos are ground breaking, but it wouldn't be true. Closer to the truth would be: "because I think so".

Peter Gabriel - Shock The Monkey

Year: 1982



I am still very fond of this song by Peter Gabriel, although I don't have much memories connected to it. While Peter Gabriel solo meant a lot to me during the 80's, his previous band Genesis left me stone cold.
